Fun in PEI

Curling fans are intense and some of them are really demonstrative. Cheryl had fun to exchange words with them during championship last weekend.

Fun in PEI

Cheryl Bernard had a lot of fun being in PEI for the last slam of the year. It was a new thing for our skip and she enjoyed the experience. She admitted though, that she would have liked better to play, but under the circumstances it was a great occasion to try her hand at commentating.

Commentating on TV

Team Bernard won’t be part of the last slam of the year because of the new formula that allow only the 8 best in the world to play. Cheryl and Co. Finished 8 on the CTRS ranking, and would have been the next team if entering another wouldn’t have decided to come. However, this is a great spot to start the new season.

In that perspective, Cheryl accepted to be part of the television coverage team on Global as a commentator. The Players’ Championship will see the debut of a new broadcast team with our Silver medalist teaming up with Don Duguid and that is on April 21-22 from Summerside, PEI, starting at 12:00pm (EST)!

Carolyn Darbyshire updates

I guess, like me, you always have a spot for all formers member of Team Bernard. The unforgettable Carolyn Darbyshire is one of them. She was in Victoria this year too, playing third for Shannon Kleibrink as you probably already know that long time third Amy Nixon part ways with the team after their last tournament. I am sure it was nice for the fans to see her there and she sure did a good job as the team made it to the final.
