The Enbridge Ride

The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place on June 23-24, 2012.

 During this bold cycling journey, you will ride for two whole days along the majestic Rockies! Our mission is clear - a cancer-free future. The money you raise for the Alberta Cancer Foundation through The Ride will directly support patients and families at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton and 15 cancer centres throughout Alberta. The Alberta Cancer Foundation provides funding to a team of top doctors and scientists whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in your community, across Canada, and around the world.

Carolyn Darbyshire, former second and unforgettable member of our team is part of the event.  Shea, his son, had a brain tumor 7 years ago and he is cancer free.  It is an important event that raises money to help science getting closer of a cancer-free-future.  Join him!

Walmart Walk for Miracles 2012

On Sunday, June 10th, thousands of people across Canada participated in the 9th Annual Walmart Walk For Miracles to raise crucial funds for lifesaving medical care, groundbreaking research, and educational programs at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Cheryl and her mom went out there and did their part. They meet along the way the Olympian Kyle Shewfeldt, gold medalist at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. He was the first Canadian to win a gold medal iin an artistic gymnastics event.

So far, 5 millions was raised for the foundation through the years.

Off Season

It is the off season, and you know that in curling it doesn't really mean, time off. Most of the curlers have job so, it's just like having a normal day. Cheryl got speeches here and there and keep herself busy with sponsors events and appearance for good causes. One already planed is the Walmart Walk for Miracle on June 10th.
